Giants Quarterback Becomes Victim of Internet Death Hoax Follow @twitter Eli Manning is dead. At lest that’s what the Internet is saying. However the New York Giants quarterback didn’t die. He’s just the victim of an Internet death hoax. Eli Manning is just fine. A report came out this week saying Manning was found dead in a car. Global Associated News or Mediafetcher reports, “State Highway Patrol is reporting that Pro Football Player Eli Manning was found unresponsive in a 2012 Cadillac Escalade early this morning at a New York highway rest area. 911 emergency services were dispatched to the rest area where he was found and CPR was administered, but the athlete failed to regain consciousness. It is unknown how long Eli Manning was at the rest area before being noticed, and the cause of death is not know at this time as this story is still developing.

Fans don’t give Eli enough credit for what he’s accomplished in his nine seasons. He’s already brought home two Super Bowl championships, one against a team pursuing the first 19-0 season in NFL history. Manning already has thrown for more touchdowns and fewer interceptions than Phil Simms. This season, Manning will most likely surpass Simms as the Giants’ all-time leader in passing yards, and solidify his spot as the greatest quarterback in franchise history. For some reason, the perception that Eli Manning is not an elite quarterback still exists, and that makes him underrated. Not only has Manning won two Super Bowls with the Giants, but he also won each year’s Super Bowl MVP Award for his brilliant performance in each game as well. Despite his success in the league since 2004, Manning still gets his share of criticism and doubts from fans of rival teams, but he continues to silence them each season with his play. Since taking over as the team’s starting quarterback, Manning is 78-57 in the regular season, 8-3 in the postseason with 28 game-winning drives.

I think that’s an apt description. The question of why the floor can be so low for a quarterback with the pedigree and ability Manning possesses is one we may never answer. The fact is that for the Giants to be a more consistent football team Manning simply has to find a way for the ‘Good Eli/Bad Eli’ routine to be less of a storyline. When Manning falls to that floor he takes the Giants with him. The same is true when he bounds toward that incredibly high ceiling. What do I think we will see from Manning in 2013? Well, he has alternated exceptional years with so-so ones in recent seasons. Based on that pattern this would shape up as an exceptional season for Manning. If Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz can stay healthy and happy, Rueben Randle develops the way the Giants think he will and Louis Murphy can provide an occasional big play Manning will have a plethora of play-making wide outs to get the ball to.

New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning is surrounded by men on the football field, but at home he’s all about the ladies. According to Us Weekly , Eli’s wife, Abby, has given birth to their second child, another girl. Eli and Abby’s first daughter, Ava, is now 2. No word yet on the little lady’s name or arrival date/time/etc.; when Eli, 32, told Us about Abby’s pregnancy in March , the baby was due in June. Maybe she did arrive in June and the news is late, or maybe she took her time to make a grand entrance. Either way, we hope the family is healthy and happy!

Hes a great player for sure, but it appears as though he is also selfish. manning was at the OTAs, and hes working out with Nicks in addition to that and in additional to the spring workouts at Duke U. That is a true pro, a true leader, a dedicated teammate and someone who wants to win and is willing to do whatever he can to prepare himself and those around him to do it.
